Owner and operator David is an elite, competitive cyclist and Personal Trainer pursuing his passion both nationally and abroad. In 2010-2011, largely because of his mountain climbing ability, David was engaged as a junior coach to help train the Korean national Cycling Team in ‘strength and endurance’. In late 2011 his training partner Sanghoon Park won gold at the Junior World Championships. In 2012 David made the move to Belgium to race for Pro Cycling Team Tomacc where he achieved notable results in many races on the European circuit. Most recently David has been competing as a pilot for the world renowned Paralympic cyclist and multiple gold medallist Kieran Modra. Parsons and Modra are the current Australian National Champions.
David is a qualified group and personal trainer, Cycling Australia coach and Pilates Instructor. David has a strong focus on technique and body balance, every exercise has a purpose and every session is tailored to maximize individual results.
When he is not instructing or coaching he will most likely be competing, cycling or rock climbing in the Adelaide Hills.
Margaret gained her initial Road & Track Skills Cycling Coach accreditation & a personal trainer qualification while working fulltime as a lawyer. More recently, after finishing up after nearly 30 years as a lawyer & Federal public servant she gained her Level 1 Coach accreditation with Cycling Australia.
Margaret has competed from childhood as a horse rider, moving 10 years ago to cycling instead. She has already built an excellent reputation as a Cycling Australia “She Rides” Coach (a program for women), recently set up the first SA “Lets Ride” program with Cycling Australia, (a program for junior cyclists) & works with her cycling club (the Skinny Lattes) as a club coach. When not coaching or training clients she is a masters cyclist who enjoys competing for fun & personal challenge.
Her approach to life, competing and coaching is based on the values that underpin cycling (and other sports in Australia) of fairness, respect, taking responsibility for one’s actions and a focus on health and safety. She has a focus on using the basic or first principles of fitness and training in working with clients to improve fitness and performance. Kevin McIntosh - Head Coach
Kevin McIntosh, the senior coach at Ergo Fitness, has an international reputation with multiple successes at World Championships, Paralympic Games, and the AIS's high performance program. Kevin's achievements were recognized by the International Olympic Committee with his induction into the Hall of Fame at Beijing in 2008.
McIntosh knows more than most about training programs. He was also head cycling coach of the Western Australian Institute of Sport and, more recently National Coach in cycling-mad Korea.
Kevin's resume boasts over 100 Gold Medals, from Paralympic Games, Olympic Games, World Championships and Junior World Championships over a 20 year coaching career.
Kevin's formal qualifications include accreditation as a cycling coach at the highest level attainable in Australia and a diploma in physiology and human anatomy.
